Recently, CCTV News reported that Pengshen 6th Well, which the FZ35-105 high-sulfur-resistant blowout preventor group located, was successfully drilled to a depth of 9,026 meters that successfully broke the record of the deepest vertical well in Asia. The blowout preventor group independently developed by Rongsheng. During the drilling, the BOP from RongSheng was highly praised by the well team for its good performance.

Well Pengshen 6 is a key pre-exploration well for exploring the Dengying Formation in the Penglai gas field.The geological conditions of the well are complex, which faces challenges such as ultra-deep (greater than 9,000 meters), ultra-high temperature (greater than 200°C), ultra-high pressure (greater than 150 MPa), and high sulfur content (greater than 30 g/m3) and so on. 

In order to safely drill the deepest vertical well in Asia,  operators has made carefully research and scientific demonstration. Using informatics technology and big data deduction, they simulate the complex working conditions that may be encountered underground in advance. As the responses to extreme situations, operators finally selected the BOP from HBRS, which leading in the safety performance and many special technical indicators in domestic. Muti-types of its BOP group such as 54-35, 54-70 and 35-105 are applied in the first opening to the sixth opening. They effectively cope with the different conditions covering ultra-deep, ultra-high temperature, ultra-high pressure and high hydrogen sulfide in special drilling environments.

After two years of arduous practical tests, RS series (HBRS）blowout preventors have shown safe and reliable performance in extremely harsh environment, ensuring the successful completion of the deepest vertical well drilling in Asia. And they have been generally consented by the operation parties.
