On December 7th 2023, the Council and Technical Committee Meeting, as well as the co-building signing ceremony of the National Engineering Research Center for Marine Seismic Exploration and Development Equipment, took place in Qingdao. Rongsheng, as a director unit in the center's co-building, was invited to participate. Rongsheng's Chairman and General Manager, Su Shangwen, and Executive Vice General Manager and Chief Engineer, Xu Hongqi, attended the signing ceremony. During the event, Rongsheng, along with 9 other units, including Sinopec Petroleum Machinery Co., Ltd. and Sinopec Offshore Petroleum Engineering Ltd., signed a co-construction agreement with China University of Petroleum (East China).

Rongsheng, designated as the "Marine Well Control Equipment Sub-center," received the center's accreditation and committed to leveraging its strengths in the marine oil and gas engineering equipment and new energy equipment sectors. The company aims to advance the development and application of marine well control equipment, actively undertake significant national strategic tasks, engage in comprehensive strategic cooperation, establish high-level teams and talent pools, and strive to produce more major innovative achievements.

In recent years, Rongsheng has strategically positioned itself with a dual focus on land and sea. It successfully undertook several national key scientific and technological projects, such as the 863 Program for the development of a "3000-meter deepwater anti-blowout device and control system" and the R&D project on "underwater emergency well sealing device and its supporting process technology." We broke through over 30 key technologies, developing innovative products like underwater emergency well sealing devices, underwater blowout preventers, underwater hydraulic connectors, underwater blowout preventer control systems, and underwater gate valves.

Previously, the domestically developed underwater emergency well sealing device underwent a successful 1448-meter deep-sea trial in the South China Sea. The 48-70 underwater double gate valve blowout preventer developed by the company was installed and used on the CNOOC South China Sea No. 2 drilling platform, marking the first domestic replacement of underwater blowout preventers. Rongsheng company constructed core test equipment for marine well control products, including a simulated 3000-meter deep-sea environment high-pressure test device, a large-scale blowout preventer high-temperature and low-temperature test platform, a blowout preventer pressurized lifting and lowering drilling test platform, and a simulated well blowout condition test platform, forming a complete marine well control equipment testing technology system.

Chairman and General Manager -- Su Shangwen was appointed as the director of the Council of the National Engineering Research Center for Marine Seismic Exploration and Development Equipment, while Executive Vice General Manager and Chief Engineer -- Xu Hongqi was appointed as a member of the Technical Committee and deputy director of the administrative team. In the future, Rongsheng will not only advance the research and development and application of marine well control equipment but also strengthen resource sharing with China University of Petroleum and various sub-centers. Our company will engage in high-level collaborative technological research and strategic cooperation to foster innovative efforts, contributing significantly to the advancement of China's marine oil and gas equipment industry and supporting the implementation of major national strategic initiatives.
