Recently, Rongsheng's newly developed precision pressure control automatic choke manifold and control system successfully completed full-process pressure control services at Sinopec's Southwest Engineering Anzhou-1 Well. The Drilling Engineering Research Institute of Sinopec Southwest Petroleum Engineering Co., Ltd. highly praised the outstanding performance of Rongsheng's new precision pressure control automatic choke manifold and control system and expressed anticipation for even greater breakthroughs in future complex well pressure control service collaborations.
Located in the Zitong Depression of the Western Sichuan Basin, Sinopec's Anzhou-1 Well is the only structural unit in this block that has not yet achieved large-scale exploration success. The good conditions frequently exhibited challenges such as gas pockets, rock bursts, easy leakage, and easy influx, making pressure control services extremely difficult. Faced with these extremely complex working conditions, Rongsheng's latest LKX76-35A precision pressure control automatic choke manifold and control system demonstrated excellent performance throughout the pressure control service process. By combining its superior throughput capability with the control system's rapid anti-blockage control performance, it achieved anti-blockage flow pressure control. On-site, there was no need for any disassembly or blockage removal of the precision pressure control manifold, significantly reducing labor intensity, saving drilling time, and improving drilling efficiency.
To successfully complete this well pressure control service, Rongsheng's technical research and development team simulated the potential complex downhole conditions in advance and prepared responses to extreme situations. Through precise pressure control using the automatic choke manifold, they released formation pressure, pinpointed the pressure window, and ensured that the pressure-controlled drilling interval was drilled without blowouts, leaks, or with only minor leaks. This approach reduced non-productive time, shortened the drilling cycle, and improved overall efficiency. Additionally, the pressure control equipment quickly and timely adjusted bottom-hole pressure, maintained a safe sealing window and released formation energy in a controlled manner. The system also rapidly detected losses and influxes, achieving precise control and reducing well-controlled risks.
The actual pressure-controlled drilling interval at Anzhou-1 Well ranged from 2323 to 4817 meters. The equipment successfully completed 33 safe and reliable precision pressure control operations, maintaining pressure control accuracy within ±0.1 MPa under all working conditions.
